- Place P-Card and purchase orders based on understanding the customers’ requirements and suppliers’ capacity - In accordance with Laboratory’s Standard Practices and procedures, assure timely and accurate reconciliation and close-out of P-Card and purchase orders.- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and keep customers informed of P-Card and Subcontract status-Maintain positive relationship with customers and vendors-Negotiate with vendors to ensure best pricing -Assist on a variety of different projects to improve ever changing business needs

· Purchase 30-60+ vessel parts and supplies daily·Manage operations according to the Safety and Quality Management System·Maintain effective communications between the Purchasing Department and Port Engineers and effective and amicable relationships between the purchasing Department and suppliers’ personnel·Review requisitioned items for quantity, compliance with approved standards, and delivery requirements· Solicit quotations (written) based on Purchasing Policies and Procedures. Determine best source of supply based on price, quality, availability, terms of payment, delivery terms, vendor evaluation, and/or other criteria· Ensure that appropriate purchase requests are handled efficiently, in accordance with budgetary and inventory control, and with the approval of the Contracts and Program Managers·Ensure that purchase orders are cost-efficient and made with approved suppliers, and that negotiated supply contracts are used

• Complete purchase orders daily for parts to support company business using SAP• Assist 25+ vendors on orders, equipment, and supplies.• Compose 30+ requisitions to ensure materials that are needed are delivered• Obtain Quotes from vendors to find quality materials and best pricing• Review and correct invoices to completion of payment• Maintain inventory levels of warehouse items
