Hi! I’m Nicole DeVries and I am graduating from San Jose State in Spring 2025 with a degree in Advertising - Marketing/Communications I’m eager to enter the digital marketing and communications field. Since being here at SJSU I have been a part of the Alpha Phi Beta Psi chapter since Fall 2022. While there I’ve served as their Social Chair while also assisting the VP of Marketing to create content for Instagram and Tiktok. Through the Panhellenic Council, I’ve held many other leadership roles including becoming a Recruitment Counselor during the Fall of 2023, and assisting potential new members through the horse tour, the decision process, and the Greek life community. In March 2024 I volunteered for the USO Foundation to help raise over $6,000 to aid veterans and their families. I spent over a month tabling with homemade goods at San Jose State, ran a car wash, held Instagram polls/contests, and helped bring awareness during the week of the charity events. I won an award for most dedication for bringing the most amount of people to each day of events. This year I have had the opportunity to work as a Retail Stylist at Kendra Scott in San Jose, CA. I assist and greet customers and give recommendations using the knowledge of the inventory through each of our different levels of quality. Including our philanthropic efforts holding events with organizations in our community to bring awareness and donations. My skills include six years of Photography Experience as well as proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom, Illustrator, All Google Apps, Canva, Social Media Marketing, and Event Coordinating.Beyond my digital skills, I am a very bubbly and social person who is eager to connect to my community. San Jose State has allowed me to learn leadership, collaboration, and the importance of storytelling for a community and I am eager to tell the stories. I value an environment that pushes expectations and I strive to continue to learn through others!
