Teaching MYP IB Language and Literature: Grade 8 English I Honors.

• Law, Ethics, and Education (Undergrad) - guided students through topics of educational movements and laws to determine the next steps in ethical dilemmas present in schools and provided individual feedback to assignments such as a Philosophy of Education, Summer 2023 - present.• Research Design (Master's) - facilitated an exploration of educational research including quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, and action research as well as scaffolded development of proposed research studies, Spring 2024 - present.

• Supervised Language Arts and reading teachers by providing immediate individual teacher feedback using a classroom walkthrough tool, participating in weekly lesson planning meetings, conferencing with individual teachers using student data to measure goals, and conducting annual evaluations.• Designed, implemented, and monitored school-wide academic corrective action plans to decrease disciplinary incidents and increase academic achievement.• Designed professional development for all faculty connected to the school’s improvement plan with sixteen sessions led by teacher leaders, district staff, instructional coaches, and me. Topics for the sessions included reading and writing in all classrooms, classroom management, and technology to increase student engagement and achievement.• Crafted the school master schedule considering student course needs, six different magnet programs and zoned traditional students, classroom support needs for ESE and ELL students, staff certification, and unit allocation.• Coordinated state testing for the school by creating an optimal testing environment meeting diverse student needs including accommodations with aligned staff and technology resources in the allotted testing windows.
