My team and I were responsible for advising the Board of Directors and senior management regarding federal securities laws, finance, corporate governance, and other complex legal matters. I was also responsible for forecasting, developing, and monitoring a $2 million budget for governance and Board matters, various transactions, staffing, and outside counsel.I served as a Steering Committee member for an enterprise-wide project aimed at optimizing corporate and governance structure of U.S. affiliate organizations by simplifying the entity structure in a post-merger environment.I also served as an Executive Team member performing various leadership roles, including serving as Executive Sponsor for the company's African American Resource Council.

I had primary responsibility for the legal close process of the $6.4 billion public cash-for-stock acquisition of WGL Holdings, Inc. by AltaGas Ltd. in 2018. I also developed and implemented the immediate post-merger governance structure of the Washington Gas Board of Directors.
