I started serving in 2010 at steak'n shake in Schererville Indiana, I learned the basics of serving and gained several connections. I worked as a late night server moving to overnight server where I began training new late night servers. I also worked at steak'n shakes portage location picking up extra hours. From steak'n shake I went onto open the Munster Indiana Chipotle. From chipotle I went onto serve at the Lansing Illinois Olive Garden where I learned more professional service and guest service. I was with darden/olive garden for 6 months until I was offered a job at the wonderful Coopers Hawk winery and restaurant in Merrilville Indiana. Coopers hawk gave me exceptional wine knowledge and set very high guest service standards at coopers hawk I served and hosted and worked in the wine tasting room. After about a year at coopers hawk stupid me accepted a job at noodles and company and left Coopers Hawk. Noodles and company wasn't what it was described to be so from there I reconnected with a contact from steak'n shake who now is the general manager at Munster meatheads which is where I currently work as a team member. I'm also currently hired at Schererville tomato bar which is set to open the beginning of this November. I will be serving at this location. The restaurant industry is an industry I'm happy to be in. I will be for life. Happily!
