As a Category Assistant I was responsible for loading promotional events, completing presell billings, researching and correcting product Not on Files, and other related duties in an accurate and timely manner. I assisted with the presell process by sending out expo sample requests, proofing, and approving vendor presell submissions. I developed a successful sell sheet that was routinely sent out with excess seasonal inventory for both corporate and independent retailers to provide the best-selling opportunities available.

During my time at Christian Financial Credit Union I held several different positions such as a Teller, Member Service Representative, and Financial Service Representative. But no matter what the position title was they all had several things in common. Every day I was striving to improve members’ financial well being and literacy through different education opportunities. Whether it was a referral to a program the credit union offered, cross-selling our members beneficial and money saving opportunities, or connecting them with an outside source like Mortgage Center or Green Path Accel - our members were the top priority.

Although my time at Center Day Camps was limited to my summers off from college, I gained various skills and learned quite a bit about myself through the process. The primary focus of the camp was to integrate children with special needs into a normal day camp setting with children who are neurotypical. Although the camp was open to all children with special needs, the majority of the campers I worked one-on-one with fell on the Autism spectrum. Through my years at the camp I worked with children who were classified on the spectrum as nonverbal, lower function as well as children who were on the opposite side of the spectrum. I had to zone in on the individual and their capabilities to help develop the social interaction with their fellow campers and instructors. I also was able to implement several hands on stations for the benefit of Inclusion Campers. Sometimes it would become difficult for our campers to focus, let alone remain focused during long activities. I saw this as an opportunity and developed several activity stations with a shorter duration that the children would rotate through in an attempt to keep their attention and focus. We saw instant success with this and maintained this throughout the summer.
