This is a dermatology clinic specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. As a physician assistant I currently: - Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat common dermatological conditions, including: acne, rosacea, folliculitis, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia, seborrheic dermatitis, cysts, verruca vulgaris, tinea infections, actinic keratosis, melasma, herpes, and hyperhidrosis.- Differentiate benign, pre-malignant, and malignant lesions in spot checks and annual skin exams.- Perform medical procedures such as shave biopsies, intralesional injections, extractions, venipuncture, chemical exfoliation, incision and drainage, patch testing, cryotherapy, photodynamic therapy, dupixent injections, and hyperhidrosis botox.- Assist and actively learn additional medical procedures like excisions, punch biopsies, - Order and interpret pathology and laboratory test results. - Educate patients and their families on the diagnosis, treatment options, expectations, and prognosis - Perform cosmetic procedures such as upper face, masseter, and trapezius neurotoxins (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Daxxify); Platelet rich plasma injections; Sofwave; Cutera ExcelV+, Opus plasma; Salt Facial; PICO tattoo removal; InMode Evolve; Alma TED; laser hair removal; microneedling and Rohrer Pixel 8.- Assist and actively learn additional cosmetic procedures such as laser technology, PICO laser, Sculptra, facial filler, and Phoenix CO2 laser.- Lead a clinical team to ensure proper patient care, satisfaction, and workflow.- Consult with supervising physician as needed.

This was an inpatient psychiatric facility. I worked with patients who were of adolescence to patients who were elderly. Some of my roles consisted of: - Implementing treatment plans, monitoring, evaluating, and documenting patient status and behavior. - Assessing the effectiveness of the patient treatment plan and discussing patient status with the associated physicians, nurses, and family members. - Obtaining patient vitals and maintaining patient safety.- Assisting patients with daily living tasks and encouraging positive habits.- Leading therapy groups, providing positive role modeling, and encouraging new methods of coping.- Escorting patients through the hospital, to events, outside, and the emergency room.

I organized, copied, and filed legal documents. In addition, I completed any special projects assigned and assisted the business manager in tasks regarding payroll, sick and vacation time, personnel files, and deposit.

My project investigated the proteomics of the mitotic spindle assembly checkpoint component, polo like kinase 1 (PLK1) and how its interactions relate to the division of cancer cells. Through BIOID2 Purification, known and unknown interactors were identified. These interactors were confirmed via in vitro transcription-translation experiments, immunoprecipitation, mass spectrometry, and western blots. Their presence and modifications in mitosis were observed in various cell cycle profile experiments and co-localization was visualized through immunofluorescence. The project continued to explore different mechanisms by which PLK1 interacts with the discovered interactors during mitosis.
