Senior Legal Counsel, North America: Leads and manages AVEVA's North American commercial legal team, consisting of two attorneys (one US-based, one Canadian-based) and a senior contracts specialist. The team works with AVEVA's NA commercial sales team to negotiate client contracts. Additional duties include:• Reviews and negotiates software license, services, and support agreements in order to provide AVEVA’s software and services to clients; also reviews and negotiates systems integrator and strategic teaming agreements with AVEVA’s partners to offer coordinated solutions to clients.• Works closely with the commercial operations team to develop policies and procedures, as well as set rules of engagement between legal, commercial, and sales, all to create and implement a smooth contracting process.• Researches, consults with outside counsel, and works closely with internal stakeholders to make certain that AVEVA's contractual provisions for North America are set to market standards, while also aligning with AVEVA's risk profile and applicable law.• Ensures that the NA Legal team provides sound contractual and legal advice, in accordance with applicable laws as well as AVEVA corporate risk policies, to allow finance and the business to make informed decisions on deals.• Supports the Associate General Counsel, Americas, on projects such as the implementation of Legal Tracker, onboarding new counsel, M&A deals, inter-company operating agreements (for AVEVA and its parent company), developing guidance materials for the NA Sales Team.

Senior Counsel: Provided legal services to internal business partners by negotiating and drafting a wide range of complex commercial contracts with clients as well as title, mortgage service, & software suppliers; issues included in the agreements are IP ownership rights in software licensing contracts, indemnification provisions, and insurance coverage amounts.
