About Nicole Hanson

I am a vibrant Speech Pathologist with a family focus. I am driven to deliver therapy that benefits the whole family. I am currently working in a family focused interprofessional team at Enhancing Learning, which directly assists and empowers families. I collaborate with the child, families, teachers and other professionals to develop wrap around support to enable children to reach their greatest potential and meaningful participation in 'their' community. Communication is essential but speech is only one element; to develop and enhance a child's communication, you need to understand the child's environment, personality, and drive. This is an essential overlay to designing and implementing meaningful evidence-based therapies. This is where my passion lies.

I organised and coordinated group communication sessions to reduce social isolation and increase communication opportunities. I coordinated services within inter-professional groups to enhance services to individual client and the group services.

The clinic had a strength based focus, with services being delivered individually or within group settings. I provided screenings, assessment and therapy services to people with social communication disorders, progressive aphasia, acquire dysarthria, aphasia and apraxic conditions. I also provide transgender speech therapy services.
