A full-time graduate student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am currently fulfilling my therapy practicum at DBT Center of Orange County. I am a co-facilitator in an intensive outpatient program working with individuals with borderline personality disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders, etc. I fulfilled my diagnostic practicum at NRC Research Institute, working with various populations such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Schizophrenia, Depression, etc. I was a certified rater for two clinical research studies for schizophrenia. I have experience administering cognitive, personality, and neuropsychological assessments. In the past, I’ve worked with children and young adults with ASD in clinical, school, and home settings. My position as a behavioral therapist has allowed me to utilize my Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) skills and teach individuals socially significant behaviors and adaptive living skills. In 2020 I received my Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from California Baptist University and have gained both practicum and research experience. I had the opportunity to shadow clinical psychologists and observe them conduct clinical interventions and assessments with low and high risk sex offenders at Orange Psychological Services. I spent a year writing my master’s thesis on war related trauma and how it may contribute to sexual deviancy. My research focused on evolutionary perspectives of aggression, sex differences, brain regions affected by trauma, desensitization in the military, and explored treatment options.
