Currently I am a jack of all trades. I have been a nurse (attention to detail, high stress situations, documentation of assessments of patients, communication with providers and education for patients), a QA engineer/manager (attention to detail, communication with developers and customer success, documentation for test plans, setup end-to-end regression testing both manual and automated, training new employees and running releases), a mom (managing schedules, meal planning, budgeting, communicating and educating children) and a restaurant manager (creating schedules, managing a store, keeping track of inventory, balancing the account at the end of the day).I work well in a team and I am always happy to help others. I ask questions and I am learning something new everyday. I have an eye for detail and am willing to problem solve and find solutions as I encounter issues that can arise. My critical thinking skills were honed in the ER and ICU and my ability to communicate in scary situations was amplified while working in the ICU and then in Labor and Delivery.As a QA engineer I have developed the skills to communicate asynchronously as well as to develop testing plans for new product as well creating testing plans for end-to-end regression testing of the whole product. I also had a small team of QA's that I was responsible for communicating changes in testing, demos for customer success, and coordinating releases between our various agile teams.Being a mom has given me a lot of opportunities to practice patience and communicating well, while also making sure that my children learn and grown and are respectful, intelligent, kind human-beings. I have to manage meals for 5 people and each have different dietary needs based on neurodiversity and health needs, this makes me have to be flexible while having a plan. Plus budgeting, schedules, and time-management have all helped me to hone those additional skills.
