Mental Health Clinical Rotation at Providence Hospital

I worked under Dr. Jellison along with other students and ran studies in the lab. We conducted research regarding attitudes towards transgendered individuals. I administered surveys and collected data for the on going study.

At the Yale Child Study Center, I collaborated and worked together with various doctors and professionals during clinical team meetings on an inpatient psychiatric unit. I also assisted in making critical decisions about various cases based off observations and perspectives from co-workers. Everyday I was socially interacting with children within the ages of 4 to 15, who had severe psychological disorders. I worked with the children and taught the patients either through one on ones, in small groups, or small classrooms. I also chose approaches to problems and solutions pragmatically in a classroom and inpatient setting.
