Evaluated and treated patients with dysphagia, voice, behavioral feeding, speech, and/or language disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities included performing Bedside Swallow Evaluations, recommending appropriate diets and/or compensatory strategies for feeding, administering and interpreting Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies. Conducted both formal and informal speech, language, and/or cognitive evaluations, and facilitated use of alternative and augmentative modes of communication (AAC).Identified and properly documented patient evaluations, goals, progress, and planned for reevaluation as needed. Educated patients, families, and medical staff regarding patient’s diagnosis, plan of care, and progress. Reviewed patient medical records and physician referrals in order to formulate an accurate diagnosis and best course of treatment.

Conducted evaluations and provided treatment for preschool-age children, school-age children, and adolescents with various communication disorders, including pediatric apraxia of speech, autism, articulation, phonological, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, and central auditory processing disorders.Counseled parents on their child’s outcomes as well as therapy strategies/techniques to aid in generalization.Provided teletherapy services via a HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform (Zoom & GoogleMeet) and created teletherapy materials to meet client’s needs.
