I work with Paediatric Oncology patients aged 6 to 16; some days are spent on the ward, while others are spent in the community visiting schools and patients at home. I work with patients who are presently undergoing active oncology treatment at Sheffield Children's Hospital, as well as patients who have completed treatment but require additional assistance with their physical activity needs. My primary responsibility is to assist and provide exercise and physical activity programmes on the ward and in the community, for individuals suffering from specific oncology treatment side effects or who are in need of certain rehabilitation programmes. At Sheffield Children's Hospital, I cooperate with the Exercise Therapist, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives a personalised rehabilitation plan.
