About Nicole Mcmahon

I am an engaged Board Chair, Non-Executive Director and Advisor to CEO's and Boards driving outcomes for organisations in healthcare, ICT, government and national security. Currently, I serve as Board Chair of Painaustralia, and Non-Executive Director of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), also chairing the strategy sub-committee. I also have the honour of chairing the Trans-Tasman Business circle events in Canberra. Recently finishing my executive career, I founded Digitech Consulting Group and now advise CEO's and corporations on driving strategic organisational outcomes. I began my career as a research scientist, specialising in molecular biology and HIV Gene Therapy, followed by a stint in television and print as a medical journalist. Over 20 years ago I pivoted to ICT, recognising its importance for Australia's domestic and global success. I had the privilege of working for iconic organisations within health, ICT and critical industries including The Pharmacy Guild, Telstra, Hewlett-Packard and Medibank Private (1800RESPECT), as well as communications organisations such as Channel Seven and Beyond. My roles have included general management, strategy, sales, marketing, chief-of-staff, government relations and corporate affairs. I am known for identifying and shaping new markets and government policy initiatives. I think outside-the-box and thrive on solving problems. As a life long learner, I recently completed my Australian Institute of Company Director's course(GAICD) and from Harvard, Cybersecurity in the Information Age (certificate). I have enjoyed the transition from executive to governance in my capacity as a board director, and am delighted to work with a range of organisations to ensure their success. I hope to expand my board portfolio in the future. I am based in Canberra and work with people Australia wide. Contact me via LinkedIn.
