I have organized many different types of events from small intimate business meetings to showcases involving numerous organizations and thousands of attendees. The level of formality in the events I have organized ranges from a couple hundred local area students engaging in hands on science and engineering activities in an expo format to a formal military ball. I constantly network in the community at various events to include local community functions, federal interest groups, expos, conferences and other venues where I interact with a multitude of people. I am the face for my organization and the point of contact outsiders use when they need to get access to anyone in my organization. I have developed solid relationships with our key stakeholder, local and federal officials as well as key leaders in the surrounding communities. I have experience interacting with people from the White house, Congress, State officials, local officials and the local community. I am able to tailor our messaging and communications to meet the varying needs of the diverse group of customers and interest groups that we work with.I work with local school systems to bring hands on activitites to the classroom that compliment the lessons being taught in the classroom. I work to devleop new activities and bring scientists and engineers to the classroom for students to get a first hand experience on what it is like to work in those fields.
