Maryland Office of Tourism is the fourth largest industry in Maryland.To stimulate tourism, the Office develops recreational, historical and cultural attractions. The Office promotes Maryland as a travel destination for domestic and international tourists through the state’s attractions, accommodations and events through its website, newsletters, and annual publications.Responsibilities included: • Assisted with the planning of the first ever Maryland Office of Tourism networking event (Blogger Bash): includingmaintaining media lists, press materials and post event polls.• Assisted with media relations, including pitching stories to USA today, Discover America, and Voice of America RadioShow• Wrote and edited press releases, social media messages, engaged with the community on various platforms, and worked on social media projects
