Cultivates a high level of advanced reference and reader’s advisory services at the branch.Manages library programming that is consistent with core services, community needs, and changes in technology and trends in library services. Accountable for the management of branch materials in accordance with the library policy.Maintains a high level of supervisory skill and stays current with trends, policies and legal issues related to supervision. Provides, or works to acquire, the resources, training and information staff needs to perform their work. Submits proposals for services and projects that are practical, affordable and consistent with the organization’s goals. Maintains the facility and plans for the building’s future. Ensures the branch is maintained as a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the public. Regularly assesses how space is being used and recommends changes as needed in order to use space more efficiently and/or to accommodate new services, collections, etc. Ensures staff have adequate and appropriate work space, tools, and training resources to perform their varied duties.
