I was a member of Holland & Knight's Litigation Section, and practiced in the area of general litigation. At H&K I advised clients on a variety of commercial disputes, including litigation matters involving product liability, insurance coverage, personal injury, contract disputes, toxic torts and creditors' rights. I also provided clients with general business advice, particularly with regard to the insurance, transportation and pension fund industries. My practice also involved developing, writing, implementing and training employees on company policies and procedures.I have experience in all phases of litigation and have represented clients in both federal and state trial courts. As part of my practice, I have briefed and argued a variety of motions, defended and deposed witnesses, prepared clients to examine witnesses at trial, prepared experts and fact witnesses to testify at trial, and managed large document productions. I also have significant experience in all aspects of factual investigation and discovery, including electronic discovery. The depth of my litigation practice was partly based on my participation in a three-month long trial defending against environmental product liability claims. This marathon event provided me with great experience preparing for, participating in, and concluding a major trial.I also worked in the area of privacy and data security compliance and was a member of the Data Privacy and Security Group at H&K. My work in this area focused on providing clients with data privacy compliance advice and advising businesses on regulatory issues and legislative affairs pertaining to data privacy and information security.
