In 2009, I was elected to the Melville council for the first time. A few years later, I completed my studies, attaining a Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry and Mathematics & Statistics from Murdoch University. I then completed a Graduate Dimpoma of Education with edith Cowan University, and quickly secured my first job as a Mathematics teacher at Kennedy Baptist College. Since then, I have been re-elected to the Melville council twice, spending a year as Deputy Mayor during that time and have been promoted to Head of Year at Kennedy. Having completed the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, I am interested in Leadership and Strategy. In the world of local government, my interests lie in Urban Planning and Governance, and in the realm of Education, I am passionate about pedagogy and student engagement.
