This position requires a great deal of self motivation as it is very isolated. The rules and regulations must be very strictly adhered to in this department due to the sensitive nature of the stock. I am responsible to ensure that both incoming and outgoing stock meet these requirements.

This position had many aspects involved in it; answering customer queries- order status', surplus/deficient shipments, trouble shooting requisitions that were not being actioned by the operating program; stocktaking- including serial numbered equipment and high value items ; financial reports, quarterly write-off summary's; investigations of stock discrepancies.While in this position I took part in creating new standard operating procedures for creating and conducting weapons verification stocktaking. This resulted in these quarterly verifications taking 3 days compared to the previous 8-10 days it had been.

in this position I supervised 5-6 people, ensuring that receipt procedures were being adhered to and product was getting to the shelves in a timely fashion. During my time here, we began using SAP as our operating system, this was a difficult transition for many and I had to provide a lot of support to my staff and others in the different departments of our warehouse.
