Created and managed individualized academic and social skills development groups for students K-5. Responded to students in crisis using Crisis Prevention Institute strategies to ensure safety of all students and staff.

Selected from a pool of 54,000 applicants to drive transformational change within Chicago's diverse education landscape. Developed an individualized Teaching as Leadership framework, directly influenced by educational research and pedagogy. Participated in weekly coaching and professional development opportunities to reflect, practice, and enhance classroom strategies for both content and behavior management. Completed requirements for Illinois alternative teacher certification and graduated with a Masters of Arts in Teaching with an endorsement in Special Education.
