I work on several projects with the Pritzker Center, including the quality assurance team for the Bruin Tutor Network which provides free tutoring to K-12 foster youth in LA county. As a member of this team I ensure that all enrolled students are matched with a UCLA tutor and troubleshoot issues involving communication between students, caregivers, and tutors. I also provide tutoring resources at our drop in hours and attend additional trainings on best tutoring practices. I work with the larger team to update protocols and keep track of partnerships and upcoming developments. Aside from the Bruin Tutor Network I am also involved in event planning for Pritzker Center webinars, and assist in an ongoing report on the intersection of domestic violence and foster care. As part of the report I attended interviews with experts in the field of domestic violence and took notes for related webinars on domestic violence. I assisted in developing a 4 part speaker series on domestic violence and foster care and am currently helping with an upcoming summit that will present research findings and suggestions for future policy in regards to child welfare and domestic violence.

InterAxon at UCLA is a neuroscience outreach organization that teaches neuroscience to K-12 youth, with a focus on Title I schools in Los Angeles County. As Vice President of InterAxon I coordinate with K-12 teachers to plan events, create and present teaching segments for members, and plan the annual Science Fair. I am also director of BrainSTEM committee, managing 8-10 groups in the development of powerpoint presentations and videos of various neuroscience topics to share with our partner schools. With the shift to online learning, I have worked with members to transition all of our material to an online format and provide engaging and comprehensive material for students.

As a marketing intern I worked on developing AltaSea's Blue Economy Network. I gained skills in researching companies, writing up descriptions and contacting different industry partners. I learned more about ocean sustainability and the different Los Angeles companies involved in the Blue Economy.
