This position serves as the system and support specialist for ODHC’s patient portal system. Provides education on the purpose and use of the patient portal supports patient users of the portal and serves as the portal's business process expert. Troubleshoots and resolves all issues that arise with the patient portal; including working with IT to develop and deploy patient portal updates and enhancements. Uses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive and collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization. The second position involves releasing and requesting medical records following protocols to ensure our patient's privacy is protected. Communication with patients, other organizations, and providers occurs on a daily basis regarding medical records.

While working with the compliance manager and chief operations officer I was able to gain knowledge on health care clinic policies and procedures. I developed strong organizational and analytical skills through multiple projects that I was assigned to work on. The projects surrounded compliance topics that included HIPAA, patient concern follow-ups, state licensing, patient records, and more. I was able to recognize problems and solve them efficiently. I worked on a computer and with written documents where I was able to show my proficiency.

Over the years of working in customer service I acquired a set of skills that contributed to my strong initiative of working through daily tasks and sporadic challenges. While having the responsibility to provide on the job training for new employees, I was able to contribute to a work environment that supports others and promotes personal growth.
