At Spring Hill, I researched companies and products, organized findings, and articulated these results to senior management in order to identify potential investment opportunities. I also wrote major section sof an Investment Committee Memo in order to seek equity partners for a private equity transaction.I performed some analysis on distressed commercial mortgage backed securities (CMOs) using Bloomberg. I also used Bloomberg and other research tools to analyze companies' credit in understanding the market rates for their respective debt issues. Throughout these prospective transactions, I identified and compiled comparable market transactions for use in deal pricing.

During the course of my internship, I organized the 2008 Global Investment Performance Standards disclosures and created the process to distribute electronically for the first time. On a regular basis, I worked with my team to assist in preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) for consultants and prospective clients on the institutional side of Principal Global Investors. I also aided in the actual production of a number of the RFPs from start to finish.During my time I collaborated with other teams as well, including Data, Accounting, and Equity groups to test and improve the functionality of their performance tools. When changes were made to these tools, I provided traiing to teams that were less familiar with those programs in order to show others how they could benefit from new features.In 2009 I presented at the Company's annual Leadership Conference and was named Principal Ambassador to act as a student representative in future intern recruitment. I was also named a Principal Scholar.

I analyzed customer service provided by representatives in the financial services industry for areas of strength and weakness. In addition, our team provided feedback to clients regarding challenges and gaps in service.
