“But we’ve always done it this way.” This statement is usually seen as anti-innovation, but in my eyes, it's a call to action that there are better solutions and opportunities to make an improvement to existing problems or challenges. Some people might look to address issues with a quick fix, but I see this as an opportunity to implement a holistic approach to improving processes. On any given day, you can find me meeting with internal and external stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes to product and system issues, executing IT program plans, and vetting solutions to determine the best option to recommend to senior leadership. You’ll also find me, implementing strategies for new programs, product, or service rollouts, and leading and coaching my teammates to meet KPIs. I love working from end-to-end to oversee successful product and program rollouts because I get to focus on continuous customer satisfaction. Prior to the rollout, I coordinate with the vendor to determine onboarding and training requirements for users, and I develop a plan for implementation. Next, I collaborate with my teammates to develop the rollout strategy. During this process, we identify potential risks and solutions to make certain that we create a seamless and viable experience for all stakeholders. Once the program or product is rolled out, it’s very important for my team to implement quality control measures, so we can verify that the program or product is maintained. One of my favorite projects happened during the start of the 2020 pandemic, when I, along with my team was tasked with converting all employees across the enterprise from on-premise working to 100% remote with a two-week notice! As the main point of contact between employees, senior leadership, and technical leads, I diligently worked to seamlessly transition all employees to a remote environment. Although it was a high-stress project, I developed creative ways for the team to stay engaged through daily check-ins and fostering a safe space for open communication. After the rollout, we created a report that highlighted the overall success of the project and presented it to senior leadership. In my career, I have developed a great passion for innovation, collaboration, and supporting teams to meet goals. I’m happy to be a resource for your organization.
