Clothing, Stationery, Gifts, Home, School products for tween girlsHarper Bee was started by a Brisbane mother who wanted to design products specifically for tween girls who can find it difficult to find clothing and products that are age appropriate. The first store was opened in Toowoomba (Sept’ 17) and Chermside was opened (Oct ‘17).GRAPHIC DESIGN: Creating artwork for products such as bags, weekly planners, clothes, doona covers and stationery items in accordance to style and branding guidelines as well as colour palettes using the Adobe Suite - Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. FINISHED ART: Creating repeat patterns in Illustrator for fabric prints. Checking artwork files by converting pantone colours to colour bridge, checking layers and outlining all files to send for outsourcing for production.PRODUCTION: Creating extensive technical pages with descriptions of each product including materials, sizing, finishes, embossed products and fabrics to send to China for samples to be made. Drawing images of each product including dielines to be created and then checking samples ensuring all specifications are correct and fulfilling quality control checks including zippers, scale, images, logo placement, care labels etc.ADMINISTRATION: Using Retail Express and WooCommerce to process online orders, track progression and send via Australia Post. Setting up the Zebra label barcode printer to work through Retail Express and print labels.

Creating data merged files using Excel and Indesign together for a streamlined merge.Finishing: Using the guillotine and Aerocutters to cut, score or perforate jobs. Bookletising jobs on-line with the digital presses. Signage using Mutoh and Xerox C842, printing onto polyprop, vinyl label stock and paper. Printing onto one way vision window signage. Celloglazing and mounting onto foam core. Lasercutting, weeding and masking signage. Procurement: Buying outsourced printing, consumables and stock for in-house printing.Production: Scheduling and organising press time for both in-house and outsourced jobs. Co-ordinating mail merged documents with mail houses and distribution companies. Administration: Using E-Print software to create jobs and track progression, invoice and then merge into Xero and apply payments.
