My role as the Creative, Brand and Events Manager focused on strategies for the advancement of the KORE brand and executing delivery. I led the creative vision for all projects and managed the process from conceptualization through implementation and production, including management of in-house and agency teams. The role required incredible attention to detail while working within the existing brand identity system to push creatively in a business context. As the “global brand champion”, I defined the visual creative expression for all brands and ensured the execution and production of fresh, distinctive creative. I served as approval point for all visual design and acted as the creative voice on a marketing team that was aspiring to be “creatively analytic” to deliver creative options that help meet business goals.Graphics, production workflow and resources, along with designing and executing complex projects such as printed and electronically-generated materials and videos was a part of my day-to-day responsibilities. Working collectively across all functions from marketers to engineers to convey the value of design and brand within a business context was integral to the success of this role.I established and led a budget of agencies to provide capacity while considering each design project holistically, best understanding how design solutions can be implemented across all forms of media and across all devices and platforms. This included managing execution of all creative work to ensure that it is on strategy, on budget, on schedule and ensured brand identity consistency. One aspect of this included ownership of the trade show and events blueprint. The key was to ensure cohesion among all internal stakeholders while reinforcing key business objectives and developing a strong, unified brand presence, globally. I worked directly with exhibit houses to ensure our exhibit spaces were clear, compelling, and visually engaging, while reflecting the brand.
Creative And Brand Execution Manager
With more than 16 years of creative, advertising and marketing experience work for ARRIS, i contributed to a team where we uncovered and told compelling and consistent stories about who we were and what we did. Those stories were targeted at both our external audiences and our internal colleagues, helping create a clear identity for ARRIS throughout the communications and entertainment industry. At this time i was part of the largest project at my time with the company - a global brand refresh. It was determined essential to crystalize a unique identity for the company combining the best attributes of both ARRIS and the newly acquired Motorola Home in a new identity that touched virtually every company asset, department and location to drive awareness in the marketplace.Chartered with supporting the rebranding initiative, I was instrumental in building and executing an innovative advertising campaign that puts a human face on our company. We called it “The People of ARRIS,” and it showcased the talented, dedicated ARRIS employees behind their innovations. As a complement to the People of ARRIS initiative, we also launched the ARRIS Racing sponsorship, together with NASCAR and Joe Gibbs Racing. As a key member of the ARRIS Racing support team, I helped develop images and messaging that appeal to a retail audience while maintaining the ARRIS brand. This effort was critical in aligning our retail and B2B marketing efforts. Key to that success is collecting and analyzing customer feedback, which was my next big initiative at ARRIS.
Creative Services Manager
As my role at ARRIS evolved to managing a creative team and direction, the projects became bigger picture. As a technology company we needed to utilize technology in our approach to demonstrate products and services to existing customers and prospects. The conclusion: the ARRIS Experience, an interactive demonstration where people could walk through an aesthetically pleasing visual of how ARRIS products and solutions power cable technology with the ability to drill down to the level of information they needed.This Interactive Demonstration System (IDS) was used on touch screen monitors at trade shows, installed onto laptops for the sales team in meetings and in our facilities enabling access to all employees.IDS inspired us to do a complete overhaul of our trade show booth to encompass the “ARRIS HOME” and was modeled around our concepts for the IDS. The presence of our new booth generated huge crowds, speakers and tours. ARRIS stood out in a class of its own.Our work on the trade show booth won a 2013 AMY award from the American Marketing Association in the category “Event Over $100K Investment – Best concept, design and execution for an event or trade show with a budget over $100K.”
