As part of the Climate Adaptation and Resilience team, I work on climate-smart conservation, nature-based solutions for adaptation, climate risk management, and spatial assessment / valuation of natural capital and resilience services. My responsibilities include:• Project Manager for the Mangroves for AI project (ManglarIA; 2023-2026), funded by Google.org. I co-lead a team working to develop a high-tech network of sensors using AI to monitor the response of mangrove ecosystems to climate change. Our goal is to use data to better understand how to build mangrove resilience through climate-smart adaptation interventions.• Coordinator for the Climate-Smart Mangroves workstream of the Mangroves for Community and Climate Project (2022-2025) in Colombia, Mexico, Madagascar and Fiji. I lead the development and application of the Climate-Smart Mangroves Tool (developed by WWF and the University of Queensland) to prioritize and implement climate-smart management measures in 4 countries.• Adaptation Specialist for Patrimonio Natural del Perú - Amazonía y Clima Project Finance for Permanence (2021-2030), proposal to the GCF. I lead the development of the Indigenous Led Adaptation component, focused on improving the adaptive capacity of 8 Indigenous Organizations and 29 native communities in the Peruvian Amazon. • Adaptation Specialist for Herencia Colombia Project Finance for Permanence (2021-2030), funded by the GCF. I lead the implementation and monitoring of adaptation activities.• Adaptation specialist supporting the Smart Coasts project (2021-2023) in the Mesoamerican reef.
