Nicole HTM Dukers-Muijrers (1972) is infectious diseases epidemiologist and coordinator research at the department of infectious diseases, GGD South Limburg, and also works as Associate Professor Health Promotion at CAPHRI, Maastricht University. Works at Academic Workplace Public Health. With a masters degree in Biological Health Sciences & Epidemiology, Maastricht University, she obtained her doctorate (2002) at the University of Amsterdam. In total she has over 25 years of work experience as project leader and as PhD supervisor in The Netherlands and internationally in USA, China and Africa. She published over 200 Wi-1 papers in high impact journals (H-index 45). Her research interest is in the field of public health and social networks, with a major focus on sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections, their prevention and treatment, and on methodology including prospective cohort studies and social networks.
