As an active volunteer in the community, she serves on the Family Advisory Committee at Stellas Place, OFCAN, the REACH OUT Network and various committees at CAMH.She is the Past President of CHF Canada National Board and the Ontario Council, Atahualpa Cooperative Homes, past board member of CHRY (VIBE 105.5fm), the Coop Housing Federation of Toronto. Nicole was named 1 of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women, 1 of the 150 Women in HerStory in Black by How She Hustles. She has received the Service Award from CHF Canada and the Kathleen Blinkhorn Award for Excellence in Volunteerism (The Community Champion Program) By Social Housing Services Corporation.
