Profile bio

About Nicole Chambers

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Mark Moehle at the University of Florida. The focus of my postdoc has been to develop expertise in electrophysiology and fiber photometry so that I can investigate specific neurons and circuits involved in motor symptoms in rodent models of movement disorders and link circuit-level changes to behavior in vivo in animal models. I have a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from Binghamton University, where I worked in the lab of Dr. Christopher Bishop. For my PhD, I used the late-stage 6-OHDA rat model of Parkinson's disease to investigate the role of pedunculopontine nucleus acetylcholine neurons in motor and gait deficits and L-DOPA-induced dyskinesia. My research interests include: motor and non-motor symptoms of movement disorders; sensorimotor integration; cortical, brainstem, and spinal cord motor circuits; and neuroplasticity.

Listed skills include Research, Microsoft Office, Spss, Data Analysis, and 30 others.
