Cross-over training in Pre-Op/PACU, along with OR training in Gastroenterology and Dental procedures

· Knowledge of promoting good health and providing safe patient care; collecting, recording,and analyzing patient health data and notifying physicians of clinical changes;administering medications; observing and recording the condition of patients; delegatingpatient care; creating plan of care specific to individual needs and goals and motivatingpatients to meet those goals; teaching patients and families how to care after discharge;maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.· Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and epidural/patient-controlled analgesiapumps.· Recognized for providing compassionate care.· Fulfilled the role of charge nurse, with responsibility to manage 4RNs and 3NAs.· Evaluate staffing requirements, floor assignments, and maintain order for a 38-bed unit, whichprovided service to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.· Implement total patient care for 6-8 patients per shift.· Experience with minimal cardiac telemetry monitoring, epidural/patient-controlled analgesics,and post-operative orthopedic surgery precautions.· Act as patient advocate; assess, monitor and observe patient status and notify physicians ofclinical changes.· Coordinate services, treatments, and consultations using Citrix Powerchart computer system.

· Maintained the organization and upkeep of the nurse stations, paperwork, and patient charts.· Assisting patient’s to fill out paperwork.· Respond to telephone calls and scheduling outpatient appointments.· Certified to work with the specific psychiatric population in order to maintain safety for the UCand the patients.
