My responsibilities include the preparing and executing capital calls and distributions, analyzing financial statements and partner capital statements, performing waterfall calculations, and proving support for fundraising, investor relations, deal closings, exits, and evaluating required quarterly and annual reports.

I worked as an Assurance Staff Accountant, in Cohen's Investment Industry Services vertical. The IIS practice is the 5th largest mutual fund auditor in the United States. I spent my time immersed in the investment industry, working with mutual funds, Global Investment Performance Standards, registered investment advisors, and fund service providers. I performed audits on many different funds to ensure no material misstatements existed in the financial reporting. I collaborated with various engagement teams, clients, and service providers to solve financial challenges. Additionally, I analyzed company transactions, distributions, dividends, income, and asset allocations while providing financial and accounting acumen to clients. Once a year, the Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland holds a fundraising event called "The Bowl-a-Thon". Junior Achievement's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. I co-led this event for two years, representing Cohen, and exceeded the fundraising goal both years by over 140-150%. We helped raise over $10,000 which will help about 200 students and 10 full K-12 classrooms in the Cleveland area.

A Learning Community is a group of students who take a common set of courses together or share a common experience around their academics. Students in an LC develop a deeper understanding of the courses' subject matter while they build relationships and learn together outside of the classroom. The Learning Community Programs at OU help new students get connected and support them during their transition from home and high school to Ohio University and Athens.I worked as a Learning Community Leader where I served as a positive role model and a resource for two cohorts of 20 students to ensure the student’s success. I also assisted the Learning Community instructor in planning and preparation for the core class and other events. With this also comes tutoring my students in the Foundations of Accounting course to enhance retention in the college and major.

Additionally, I analyzed company transactions, distributions, dividends, income, and asset allocation while providing financial and accounting acumen to clients. Lastly, I participated in two community service events throughout my internship with Cohen. My intern class and I put together a community service day at the Botanical Gardens in Cleveland. I also participated in the "Cohen Cares" day where we volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland.

Union Home Mortgage (UHM) offers a variety of loan options as well as industry knowledge to help each client understand their options and choose the best loan program for their individual needs. Since 1970, UHM has been building its reputation on professional conduct, industry expertise, and uncompromising integrity. During my time at UHM, I assembled, prepared, and verified 15 closing documents each week for proper documentation purposes. With this, I had to make sure to maintain strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of data and information when using software systems. My intern class and I, volunteered with a Cleveland grade school to impact students and provide assistance to local programming. Lastly, I cooperated alongside 11 interns to develop research to attract and retain millennials into the mortgage industry and presented findings and recommendations for improvements to senior leadership.

I was selectively chosen through Ohio University's College of Business to work on a consulting project in Barcelona, Spain. The project consisted of working in a team of three OU students and two IQS Barcelona students. My team and I worked directly with a company called Inoxcrom, specifically with their CEO Manel Vaqué. Our main point of action was to provide Manel with the information needed in order to achieve his goal of expanding to the US (specifically Florida). My team and I created and gave Manel many different analyses, a report, and a final presentation. This vital information has already been put to good use (our work was shared with Inoxcrom's commercial delegate in the Latin America region). This experience allowed me to enhance my leadership skills, consult for a business abroad, network internationally, solve a complex business challenge, and much more.
