I volunteered at BINGO for the American Legion for twelve years while I got my degree and continued while raising my son. While volunteering I was able to work my way up to second in command taking on a large portion of running the Legion itself. My back end tasks included maintaining the books, managing and purchasing inventory, communicating with vendors, marketing the hall, keeping the facility organized and well maintained. My duties managing the front of the hall were to run the counter, all aspects of customer service, managing and leading volunteers as well as training new volunteers, answering phones, handling money, trouble shooting the ATM on site, problem solving conflict among many other day to day tasks.
