About Nicole Garber

What sets me apart? Enthusiasm! Not everyone can say they love coming to work every day, but I do. I work best when there are plenty of tasks to complete, maybe it’s because I enjoy the challenge, or maybe it’s simply because I love the opportunity to contribute as much as I can each day to my company. Employees often complain when faced with additional responsibilities, but not only do I welcome them, I actually seek them out. That’s how I started as an entry level processor at my last company and added loan booking, impaired loans, floor plans, participations, and trainer to my skill set. Now I'm responsible for the performance of an entire team.Did I mention that I love learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others? You will see me smiling like a fool when I come across something new to share, when I can answer a question someone has, discuss a judgment call on a request, or help our affiliates so they can pass that knowledge on.To me it’s not enough to just come in and do my job, I want to understand as much about it as possible. At Susquehanna when I noticed my training didn’t give me the full picture in regards to collateral, I pushed to train in booking to fill that gap. After that, I was asked to assist with an appraisal project and ran away with it, taking ownership of the entire thing, building my knowledge one loan file at a time. Where am I now? I'm making a difference every day. Whether it's improving our processes to save the company time and money, or it's helping a team member build confidence to succeed, I'm loving the journey!I don’t just do my job, I excel at it. When I finish a goal for a year I don’t stop learning, I ask for another. I don’t just process a request, I analyze it. Why am I completing this task, what else could be affected, did the other departments complete their steps correctly? That’s my thought process, that’s what I do. That’s what I will bring to a company.Contact: ngarber86@gmail.com
