CurrentFrom a very young age, I have been entrepreneurial and constantly looking for ways to maximise value and improve on things. When I was about 8 years of age, I starting a side hustle loaning out my very large collection of Barbie items at various rates. The income I earned allowed me to buy more Barbie items hence creating new opportunities to loan out more items while exanding my collection for the enjoyment of myself and my younger sister.A few years later I starting a morning newspaper run but did so in a local hospital this was may more efficient and meant I got to talk to the people staying at the hospital which I enjoyed. I would also run errands for them during my round. I loved that paper round.I then started a similar service for older persons in my neighbourhood running errands, shopping, looking after pets. I loved that I got to visit with people and learn more about them. I was always friendly and curious by nature.In my late teens I read Tarot cards as a side hussle. I would create flyers and newspaper ads and soon had a very regular, kind client base who I loved visiting with and learning more about their lives. (I have not read for decades, but I still have that deck of cards).After school and on school holidays I would work at my mothers agency, doing general girl-Friday tasks and manning reception. This agency management characters such as Barbie, Thomas the Tank, NFL, NHL, TMNTetc. When I finished high school, I intended to go University to study Criminal Law. I decided to take a year off and work at my mothers agency full time and was fortunate enough to land in a Junior Project Management role from day one, this started my love of direct marketing and tech.I joined Runway more than 20 years ago and today, I head up Runway Proptech's global team with offices in the US, Australia and India.
