Vanuit de wens van het Haagse college van Den Haag om het Haagse Midden- en kleinbedrijf (Mkb) te versterken is in het Coalitieakkoord 2018 een groeiagenda voor het Haagse Mkb aangekondigd. Met de Haagse Ondernemersagenda ‘de ondernemer centraal’ wordt ingespeeld op de behoeften en uitdagingen van het brede Mkb.Wat was mijn bijdrage? Meeschrijven aan de Haagse ondernemersagenda en uitvoering geven aan de bijbehorende actieagenda met als doelstelling het creëren van een aantrekkelijk ondernemingsklimaat en een ondernemersvriendelijke stad. Het verbeteren van de dienstverlening en informatievoorziening spelen hierin een belangrijke rol: mede opzetten van het Haagse (digitale) ondernemersportaal en activiteiten onder de noemer: Den Haag Onderneemt.

The Dutch Fish Marketing Board is the point of contact and communication centre of and for businesses in the Dutch fishery industry. The objective is to enhance the image of fish, shellfish and crustaceans and to create a positive experience of this product group and the Dutch fishery industry in the Netherlands and abroad.

Within the innovative, fast moving environment that Inmarsat operates, my job evolved at similar pace. I easily adapted to new situations and filled positions as EMEA Marketing manager, Global Events manager and Global Marketing manager for the business units Maritime as well as Global Government. Inmarsat operates in a niche market and therefore an extremely international work field. I travelled the world to set direction on marketing strategy, implementing integrated marketing campaigns, event management, and bi-weekly work visits to London HQ. Achievements of which I am particularly proud of are the marketing plan I developed and implemented under the demanding and changing conditions of a company restructure with severe impact, as well as the successful roll-out of an innovative and more efficient global event strategy which I developed.

Heavely fucussed on Maritime satcom solutions from Inmarsat. Managing the annual global partner conference in Barcelona, write and execute communication plans for product launches and new value propositions.

Working at the university and writing communication plans was extremely rewarding. According to my internal clients my work really made a difference. Due to my interpersonal skills I was able to identify underlying issues, and with persuasiveness and enthusiasm I introduced ground breaking plans. I was a direct report and right-hand of the Head of Marketing and Communications department and managed the Marketing assistant and a team of 12 student ambassadors.

Working on re-positioning the company by developing new marketing strategy and creating new value propositions in close collaboration with the Portfolio manager. Creating campaigns in support of these new value propositions. Managing the Marketing Assistant. Member of management team.

Directly after graduation I was given the opportunity to start the marketing department for the Benelux office. I became responsible for the execution of all marketing programs in the Benelux region and over time I grew into a more tactical/strategic role. I successfully developed a regional marketing strategy in line with corporate strategy and contributed to the development of European marketing programs, addressing all territories. I was asked by senior management to document and share my best practices across individual European offices and act as a coach to new marketing colleagues, both in support of establishing and building an integrated European marketing organisation with effective and efficient processes and programs.
