This was my first professional position right out of library school. Lost my luggage after my flight but luckily had my presentation materials (mock instructional session) in my carry-on bag. Remember doing instruction with transparencies? But it all worked out, and I started my career in instruction. I provided students with information about using library resources through instructional sessions and print materials. I worked with faculty to provide library instruction to students and provided reference assistance in all subject areas. It was here I taught myself HTML right as the WWW was born and developed the first website for the Library. I also served as liaison to the departments of Language and Literature, International Studies, and Human Development and learned quickly how valuable those relationships with faculty are to student success..
