This internship consists of a rotation between Geotechnical Engineering, Site/Civil and Environmental Engineering to explore and experience the different disciplines offered here.

- Take class notes for hearing impaired students in RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID). The job requires attention to detail, conformance to a standardized format and has strict deadlines for the submittal of notes to the institute.

- Assisted project engineers and managers with the submittal process, helped log data and create spreadsheets to be used throughout a particular project.- Learned the fundamentals and different components of construction management through the various tasks assigned.

- Assisted staff engineers and project managers in making revisions to AutoCAD drawings and cataloging boring logs in gINT.- Assisted geotechnical engineers by designing a retaining wall, given the current site conditions and proposed plans for the project space.

- Assisted engineers in field / site work and developed an understanding of the logistics behind each assignment.- Created environmental reports for owners and delineated the necessary work to make the site safe to build upon.
