Provide nursing care for a variety of patients on a high –risk labor and delivery unit with concerns including preterm labor, preeclampsia/eclampsia, diabetes, HIV, drug withdrawal, trauma, and medical –surgical complications. Circulate for OR cases including cesarean sections, tubal ligations, cerclage placements and recover patients in the PACU. Triage patients with a variety of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and non –obstetric related concerns. Independently perform sterile speculum exams and cervical exams. Utilize GE/QS fetal monitoring and Sunrise Clinical Manager for patient documentation.
