Customer Service and Support is in the fiber of my being. In my 15 years of working all those years have been in direct customer service roles, with the last 13 years being in support.I’ve worked in both restaurant and retail environments but have enjoyed my time most in the several customer support roles I’ve had. My first customer support position will always have a place in my heart, it was at Restaurant Technologies Services, which supported the McDonalds back office and POS systems at the time.I was able to work with all sorts of individuals from cashiers to owner operators. It was in this role that I found how rewarding it is to restore a system down situation.After a few years I heard of a position opening with VMC Consulting where I first got experience with Microsoft’s ERP products. I supported their Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS), Point of Sale 2009 and Microsoft Office Accounting (MOA) products for several years (until the end of support life cycle).Towards the end of this role, I was introduced to Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP). To be honest this was intimidating as it was far more complex than RMS, POS 2009 or MOA had ever been. But with a growth mindset I took to learning the product and several months later I was given an opportunity to work directly with Microsoft for this product.I loved my time at Microsoft, it was full of many learning opportunities ranging from being certified in Kepner - Trego, to Emergenics personality testing. Now I look toward the future in hopes to find a position where I can use my customer service and support experience to help not only help drive a great customer experience, but also continue to learn and grow in what it takes to be a great customer support specialist.
