Designed and prepared calculations for a Sounding Bar System to take level measurements of a ferronickel smelting furnace. Developed the equipment installation manual for Xstrata’s $4.1 billion modular designed ferronickel processing plant. Prepared work instructions for mechanical equipment repairs & maintenance manuals for specialized equipment.

Implemented Maintenance Best Practices with the goal of increasing mill availability by limiting unplanned maintenance downtime to less than 9%. Conducted Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations of major mechanical equipment breakdowns. Performed risk-based evaluation of equipment for the prioritization of planned maintenance & the justification of critical spare levels.
