Lead a team of 4 Academic Advisors, an Assistant Director of Advising, an Assistant Director of Orientation, and an Administrative Coordinator in building out an excellent student experience for all full-time and part-time MS Finance and MS Real Estate and Infrastructure students.

Responsible for the enhancement and oversight of the MS Finance and MS Real Estate and Infrastructure Programs. In collaboration with a team of Academic Advisors, work to provide full academic life cycle support through exemplary service to students from the time they are admitted through to their transition to alumni. Served as a critical link between Admissions, Marketing, Faculty, Student Affairs, and Career staff that interact with the MSF and MSREI programs. Partnered with the Faculty Academic Program Directors in development of new Programs.

Developed, implemented, and supported of all experiential learning activities relating to innovation; specifically in the areas of business development and economic growth at The Carey Business School.

Enhanced the learning experience for students in and beyond the classroom by connecting them with practical, action-based learning and immersion projects with external partners. Developed and facilitated programs that support the goals of Experiential Learning including leadership programs, case competitions, professional development workshops, conferences and treks. Built relationships with community partners and high level business executives in the area to arrange for pro bono consulting projects, service projects for the Carey Volunteer Corps, and guest speaker series events. Managed and allocated an annual budget of $80,000 to support Student Organizations and the Student Advocacy Council, and tracked a departmental budget of $140,000 for the Student Ventures Office. Designed and delivered student leader trainings as necessary to prepare Student Advocacy Council and Student Organization leaders for their leadership roles throughout the academic year. Supervised 2-5 Graduate Assistants who served as Volunteer Coordinators or Student Event Support Staff.

Co-developed, lead and implemented a comprehensive student engagement plan focusing on leadership development, diversity and inclusion, entrepreneurship, community and well-being. Provided a wide range of services such as student advising, event management, website development, policy enforcement, and administrative support to a very diverse student body composed primarily of international students. Designed and delivered student leader trainings as necessary to prepare Student Government and Student Organization leaders for their leadership roles throughout the academic year. Managed and allocated an annual budget of $80,000+ to support Student Organizations. Implemented a Council for Inclusive Excellence in partnership with identity-based student organizations such as Out for Business (LGBT group), Women in Business, Chinese Student Scholars Association, and the Black, Hispanic, Indian Association. Supervised 1-3 Student Services Graduate Assistants. Oversaw active military and veteran student support through the Student Veteran Network. Lead and served on committees to assist with planning school-wide events such as graduation, full and part-time student orientations, TEDx conferences, and student awards ceremonies. Increased community engagement by partnering with Business Volunteers of Maryland, start-ups, local high schools, and other schools within the Johns Hopkins system.

Supervised a staff of 6 Residential Advisors in an upperclassman community through weekly staff meetings, continual trainings, and developmental one on one conversations. Trained and advised one Graduate Assistant and 75 Desk Assistants on front desk policies, procedures, and customer service standards for 3 residential complexes that operate 24/7. Served in the professional staff on call rotation for a residential population of approximately 1,000 students responding to calls for physical injury, mental health crises, or policy violations. Adjudicated conduct cases through the institution’s educational judicial system and assign appropriate sanctions for policy violations in Maxient Conduct Software. Created and launched a sophomore residential program that provides additional opportunities for career preparation, encourages exploration in Baltimore, and enhanced academic learning. Sent a monthly e-newsletter of upcoming events, relevant articles, or student exhibitions using MailChimp (Maintained a minimum of 70% readership in 2015-2016). Chaired a divisional committee to unite the Student Affairs division through an iLEAD, a marketing campaign to increase campus involvement, and ONEapp, the student leader application for over twenty positions

Recruited and selected students for the alternative spring break trip to Asheville, North Carolina. Developed a fun yet educational experience for ten students that encouraged the values of gratitude, service, and kindness. Held weekly meetings to discuss fundraising, plan our trip, and foster a team mentality. Organized and executed large scale fundraisers on and off campus. Completed online Habitat for Humanity Group Leader Certification.

Supervised fourteen Resident Assistants and one Resident Staff Advisor in four co-ed first year residence halls housing approximately three hundred and eighty students from 2013-2014 and seventeen Resident Assistants and one Resident Staff Advisor in three co-ed upperclass residence halls housing approximately five hundred students from 2014-2015. Supervised the educational, social, and passive programming of fifty resident assistants by managing the program proposal and approval process. Adjudicated conduct cases and work to bring restoration to students through educational sanctions using Adirondack Conduct and Housing System. Participated in the professional staff on-call rotation for the entire on campus population of approximately 1,100 students. Managed housing assignments throughout the academic year, ran the housing lottery, and created and distributed informative mailings as needed. Initiated and coordinated professional development opportunities for Resident Assistants.

Supervised a staff of twenty-five undergraduate student summer conference assistants. Served as the main point of communication for conference coordinators from around the world. Coordinated the housing, dining, and schedule of events for over forty groups with a total of about 6,000+ total guests. Participated in a crisis on-call rotation every other night of the summer. Planned and organized weekly staff meetings as well as group bonding events.

Supervised a staff of first year area Resident Assistants, 20 in 2012-2013 and 25 in 2011-2012. Developed and approved program requirements for each RA tracked in an Excel spreadsheet. Managed a budget of $5,000 for programming expenses. Ran weekly group meetings and held monthly one on one professional development meetings with individual staff. Created the monthly duty rotation and monitored duty counts in an Excel spreadsheet. Served on on-call duty rotation and in crisis response.
