Working in the Sustainability Programs Branch to develop, deliver and promote energy efficiency initiatives for business and households. Collaborating with local government, industry bodies and business chambers to deliver training and coaching opportunities in regional areas.

AccessEP specialises in environmental impact assessments in regional areas and natural resource management projects for both private and public sector clients. I conducted environmental impact assessments for a range of infrastructure projects including roadworks, gravel quarries and pipelines, ensuring that the written reports addressed all statutory requirements and supported applications for relevant licences and approvals.

I am currently undertaking report writing and editing on a contract basis. The majority of this work is preparing environmental impact assessment reports using site survey information provided by my clients, and conducting relevant desk-top searches and analysis of information in accordance with planning and other legislative requirements.

My role is to facilitate sustainable development within the Orana region by making businesses and landholders aware of opportunities for diversification. I am currently working on two main projects - one relating to the feasibility of constructing and operating a biohub (or hubs) in the region to value add biomass residues, byproducts and wastes, and the other facilitating participation in the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) and other carbon abatement programs.

This is a casual position. My main responsibilities relate to licensing regimes for irrigated crop production. My work includes auditing irrigation-related licences to identify discrepancies, preparing applications and supporting information such as environmental impact assessments and flood impact statements. This requires extensive liaison with clients, regulatory authorities and technical experts. I use customised databases, GIS, spreadsheets, word processors and document management software to produce reports tailored to clients’ needs and designed to meet regulatory requirements. Non-licensing work I have undertaken for clients includes preparation of management plans, industry overviews, and other customised reports. I have also written printed and web-based promotional material for WLP.

In this position I was responsible for managing all facets of the commercial kangaroo harvesting program for NSW. This included policy development, stakeholder liaison, staff management, compliance and enforcement and issues management.
