I currently lead the team responsible for overseeing all aspects of security strategies and emergency response for 1,800 U.S. based stores. We build and maintain all training, communication, corporate policies, best practices, resources and tools. This includes crisis response, access controls, physical security requests, driving a security culture, security licensing, solicitation response, and supporting emerging risks. We also create the long term strategies to mitigate security incidents such as solicitation, burglaries and robberies.

I led the team responsible for developing run state operations for approximately 250 Assets Protection team members in Canada including operating models and all applicable resources for each position - job descriptions, core roles and routines, annual achieving excellence strategies, on-boarding/training plans, and resources/tools. I also oversaw all communication for the team from online to email to store facing posters.  Recipient of Vice Presidential Award for opening support strategies (2013).  Recipient of Corporate Security Director’s Award for training and turnover support (2012).

I was responsible for developing the start-up strategy for Assets Protection to operate in Canada. This included overseeing work streams covering supply chain, business intelligence and analytics, team structure and communication, theft and fraud, and community engagement.

I participated in the start up efforts to transform our US Assets Protection strategies into the Canadian landscape. This included owning and overseeing the initial kick-off of nine work streams including Crisis Management, Supply Chain, Merchandise Protection, Corporate Team Strategies, Field Team Strategies, Theft & Fraud, Tools & Technology, and Facility Design. Recipient of Operation Director’s Award for start-up efforts (2011). Co-chaired annual United Way campaign for entire pyramid, met all financial and participation goals (2011).

I was responsible for reducing operational shortage that occurred at store levels. This included point of sale, backroom and receiving, price change and the in-stocks process.  Identified and helped build solution for a point of sale glitch that resulted in significant shortage savings.  Designed the Inventory Bounce Back Tool for all store leaders to better interpret and assess their annual inventory results and design subsequent action plans.  Recipient of Target’s Leadership Expectation Award for problem solving (2010).  Selected as co-chair for development and learning group for all Sr. BPs in pyramid providing quarterly development day with speakers and activities (2010).

 Selected as Assets Protection Assessment Captain for Group, 34 stores (2008-2009).  Selected as Assets Protection Training Captain and District Resource, 12 stores (2007-2009).  Selected to participate in Target’s leadership development program (2008).  Reduced shortage at every location I oversaw.

 Completed 15 compliance audits, conducted two extensive embezzlement cases and oversaw a union president officer election.

Supported Hurricane Katrina relief efforts for 30 days overseeing two state parks housing evacuees in Alabama. Set up school, church, work support, food shelf offerings and daily activities for both park communities.
