Currently working as an experienced keeper in our Animal Enrichment and Training Department under the umbrella of Animal Care Support. Along with a small team of Enrichment keepers, responsible for the procurement and monthly delivery of Enrichment supplies and materials to the animal strings; workshop upkeep and inventory; designing/creating/installing enrichment devices, furniture, exhibitry elements and deadfall perching. Additionally, I assist keepers on there strings when needed and consult/assist with hand rearing setups and plans when needed.

Demand keeper in the children's zoo 2005-2006.Reptile and amphibian relief keeper and nursery keeper for one year 2010-2011.One of two full-time primary nursery keepers 2006-2023. -As a nursery keeper, responsible for properly hand rearing infant animals when necessary and maintaining accurate rearing data. Additionally responsible for a number of mostly mixed species exhibits housing adult animals. Generalized duties include: monitoring the well being of animals on the string, maintaining exhibit premises and holding areas, diet preparation and feeding, administering medications and supplements, collecting browse, providing enrichment, supervising volunteers, and educating zoo patrons.Species handreared: Gerenuk, Yellow-backed Duiker, Black Duikers, Red-flanked Duikers, Speke's Gazelles, Steenbok, Tufted Deer, Calamian Deer, Takin, Masai Giraffe, Red River Hogs, Babirusa, Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies, Giant River Otters, Rock Hyrax, Ringtail Cats, Cape Porcupine, Francois Langur, Kikuyu Colobus Monkey.

Handled all Enrichment exhibit refurbishing and repairs in coordination with other Enrichment staff and volunteers. Conferred with veterinarians, curators and keepers. Acquired dead tree branching, logs and stumps to be installed into animal exhibits. Constructed and installed perching, artificial vines, ropes, hammocks and species appropriate enrichment devices. Maintained workshop and kept all tools in working order. Supervised and managed volunteers. Prepared reports for research director.

Following procedures established by the Living Collections Supervisor and Insect Zoo Coordinator, responsible for the daily care and maintenance of the Museum’s live animal collections and exhibits. Assisted in the development of new animal exhibits. Assisted in the preparation and maintenance of the Museum’s summer butterfly exhibit “Pavilion of Wings.” Interacted with visitors, answered public inquiries, delivered education programs, and participated in public relations activities.
