CurrentSenior Intellectual Property ParalegalOrganize and manage electronic and paper files. Conduct non-legal research using various research tools. Assist other legal assistants and attorneys across practice areas with corporate and litigation-related tasks. Conduct research regarding the availability of all types of trademarks and corporate names. Record documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Handle all aspects of daily docketing, including: reviewing mail and calendar dates; verifying deadlines and inputting into the docket system; monitoring docket daily for filing updates and deadlines and communicate same to attorneys.Reviewing incoming correspondence from U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for docket information. Preparing documents for filing, including: patent applications, Preliminary Amendments, Information Disclosure Statements, Responses to Missing Parts, Assignments, Amendments, payments of Issue Fees.Maintain foreign filing docket, prepare necessary documents and process foreign patent applications. Responsible for completion of initial filing of all International PCT and foreign country patent applications. Draft documents and responses related to PCT Applications, Request, Demand for Preliminary Examination. Draft filing instructions, fee letters, reminder and reporting letters and correspondence with foreign associates. Draft provisional, non-provisional and design application transmittal papers. Preliminary review of Restriction Requirements/Office Actions Review issued patents.
