I received a formal design education from James Madison University, with a BFA in Interior Design, (CIDA-accredited) and minor in Art History. With a passion for interiors, I began my career as a designer with Ethan Allen and made many professional connections through the business. It has given me an entrepreneurial outlook within the industry and I intend to use this experience as a building block for future career goals. I recently participated as an environmental consultant for a BCCI Construction office build out in San Francisco, delivering calculations for various credits and utilizing the LEED rating system to help the project become certified. From this invaluable experience, I became accredited as a LEED AP, with a specialty in Building Design and Construction and am now able to spearhead projects that would like to obtain certification. I will pursue residential and commercial environments through a career that allows me to research, grow and incorporate my interests in sustainable design, biomimicry, store planning and branding through interiors.
