With over 20 years of experience in the association and non-profit organization industries, I am a Senior Director, Certification & Accreditation at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), the leading organization for advancing the specialty of veterinary medicine in the US and Canada. I hold a MS in Non-profit Management from Regis University and an ICE Certified Credentialing Professional (ICE CCP) credential, demonstrating competence in professional credentialing, including in governance and resources, credentialing program operations, and assessment development and validation.As a Senior Director, I am responsible for strategic planning, management and oversight of all aspects of the Certification and Accreditation Program, which serves over 3,000 veterinarians and candidates across six specialty areas. I regularly review certification processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives based on evolving best practices and stakeholder feedback. I work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and volunteer leaders to guide development of strategies and implementation of decisions. I also lead discussions with external service partners, developing and maintaining strong relationships with them, key volunteer leaders, outside advisors and other stakeholders. My mission is to ensure that ACVIM's certification and accreditation programs are of the highest quality, validity, and reliability, and that they reflect the current and future needs of the veterinary profession and the public.
